Most people know North Sulawesi and Manado, with the steep walls of Bunaken and muck diving in Lembeh. Great.
However we hear less about the Southern end of the island which offers up breathtaking underwater scenes of vertiginous walls, amazing numbers of sharks, tunas, with tones of blue spotted stingrays, and are an ideal habitat for invertebrate to blow their colors up.
If you’re lucky enough, there could even be grey reef, tiger or thresher sharks lurking around! That's if you're able to see them through the swarms of triggerfish and butterfly fish which swirl around the reef there!
It's hard to imagine all this can be found around just a few islands !
Also less well known is that the 3rd widest atoll in the world lies here. So vast that one can barely see the next island peaking out over the turquoise blue water.
The Tidak Apa’Pa is ready to take you to this still unspoiled area off the beaten track between March and May.
